So, to counter sasuke's chidori, naruto made a rasengan with a single hand for the first time.

But, like i said, it's possible that he was able to do it at that point, or even earlier during the war;

I believe this is the first regular rasengan he makes with only one hand as well, so i bet there is something there too, how he could never do this alone, looping back to them being his power. However, it is faster/easier to do with a kage bunshin. Rather than waste time and effort, naruto can create a clone to do it for him as he prepares an attack strategy or initiates another jutsu.

With kyuubi's chakra, naruto would be able to do about 100 times more. With km he can use chakra arms to create a rasengan, even with his finger. Its meant to be quite the triumphant moment, i know, but still…
